Thursday, October 2nd, 2025 is Family Promise in Anoka County's annual fall fundraiser, Hotdish with Heart! The event will feature a delicious Minnesota Hotdish dinner, a side of light-hearted entertainment, and heartwarming stories of empowering families experiencing housing insecurity to build a foundation of lasting independence. The special guest serving as host and providing entertainment will be local Minnesotan, Stevie Ray. Stevie has entertained over 300,000 audience members as a professional stand-up comedian and improv performer.
The goal of the event is to raise awareness of what youth who are homeless may experience when the darkness of night sets in. Many are staying in shelters, sleeping on the streets or in their cars, and couch-hopping. HOPE 4 Youth ensures all youth feel safe, valued, and supported while reaching their full potential. This begins with meeting their basic needs and leads to supporting them with the resources and skills needed to find and keep stable housing.
Good in the ‘Hood is dedicated to changing lives together with simple acts of kindness. Although our service opportunities are not solely limited to the urban community, we do have a purposeful inner-city affinity and a commitment to serve those with the most need.
