The bell ringing season starts each November and runs through Christmas Eve, when the red kettles are packed away for the season. Volunteers are the difference between an empty kettle and one that raises about $30 per hour – enough to provide a family with two bags of groceries, or shelter an individual for a night.

Santa Claus is coming to town! The Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View Fire Department will once again be joined by Santa Claus for the annual food shelf fundraiser. Firefighters, Santa, and all the helpers will be touring parts of Spring Lake Park, Blaine, and Mounds View on Monday, December 1st through December 4th. Join them along the parade route or bring your dry goods to one of the viewing locations for pick up. The parade will start at 6:00 p.m. on the day/route listed. Non-perishable food items can also be brought to Station One at any time.

The 35th Annual Anoka Tree Lighting event is sure to be a festive celebration that’s fun for the whole family! Enjoy a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Santa Shack, listen to the cheerful sounds of the 7th Avenue Carolers, and savor holiday music throughout the evening. Giving Back to the Community Toys for Joy will be collecting new, unwrapped gifts for children in need! Gifts can be dropped off at their booth in the plaza. They are also selling s'mores to enjoy around the bonfires. The Anoka Women of Today will be gathering non-perishable food items and monetary donations for ACBC Food Shelf. They will also be selling hot chocolate to warm you up!

Coated In Love is a 501(c)3 charitable organization with 100% proceeds going to our mission of providing hope, help and resources to people experiencing homelessness and to all who are in need. Our one-day event — 3000 Acts of Kindness — brings our mission into action. This is a place where all those experiencing homelessness are personally invited to come and receive material needs, but more importantly, to be truly seen, known, and loved. This all-volunteer event, promoted by word of mouth, served 900 guests in its first year. The next year, the numbers grew to nearly 3,000 guests, supported by 500 volunteers. These numbers are expected to continue to grow.
