Joe is married to his wonderful wife, Lauren, and is the proud father of three beautiful daughters Faith, Brielle, Sophie plus a Sport Retriever, Louie. His family enjoys serving at church, school and the community. Nick is born and raised in Andover, MN and is a graduate of Totino Grace high school. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of St Thomas and completed education coursework from Bemidji State University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and holds his Series 7, 66, 9, 10 and MN Life & Health insurance licenses.

Community Involvement is a passion of Nick’s and is highly active in the community through his involvement in the Coon Rapids Rotary, where he has served as President, and recently served as chairman on the Emma B. Howe YMCA Community Board. He is also active with Stepping Stone Emergency Housing in Anoka, and St. Stephen's Catholic Church where he and now his children attend school.

Nick continues to live in Andover with his wife Kari, Executive Director of the nonprofit GRACE Inc.; their two children, Bennett and Andrew; and their black lab, Gilda and cat, Oppie. His hobbies include supporting his children's baseball, soccer and golf ventures, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, boating, bicycling, golf, and planting/landscaping.

Born in New Jersey, raised in rural Wisconsin, and now living in Blaine with his wife Katie and two children, Bryce and Kenna, Steve enjoys connecting with people from all different walks of life. To say Denise has experience working in the financial field might be an understatement. Denise has served in a variety of roles over 30 years including time as a Securities Administrator, an Equity Trader, and most recently as a Branch Administrator alongside Joe Bertilson (since 2013). 

In addition to her experience, what makes Denise great in her role is her heart of service. Denise credits much of this to one of the most difficult times anyone could ever go through; the loss of her husband, Brad, to cancer in 2020. It is through this period that Denise and her family learned to appreciate each other more, and in turn found a new passion to help others. This passion has even inspired two of her daughters to pursue degrees to become a nurse and a surgeon! 

Denise was born and raised in the north metro and loves to spend time with her kids and family, Brandon, Angela, Katlin, Elizabeth, Jacob and Braxton (as well as her Golden Pyrenees, Toby). Additionally, in her free time she enjoys reading, quilting, and supporting her favorite charities; the Cancer Foundation, and Alzheimer’s Foundation.    

At MissionBridge Wealth we have the opportunity to work with people as they are planning for the exciting highlights of life as well as the toughest moments of loss. Our WISDOM Process


At The MissionBridge Wealth Partners, our goal is to provide you the knowledge and tools you need to navigate your unique situation. Through guidance and education of our WISDOM-driven process, you'll gain confidence to make many financial decisions, and we'll be here to guide you every step of the way.


Our process begins with a Welcome Meeting to gain a personal understanding of you and your financial goals. Come to your Welcome Meeting prepared to share.

To make the most of our Welcome Meeting we'll need information; account statements, tax returns, estate planning documents. We may not need it all the first meeting, but in order to build a comprehensive plan, the more details the better!



We ask a lot of questions. While we will of course spend time on the financial planning foundations you'd expect; topics like time horizon and risk tolerance, our team wants to get to know you and your family. What do you want out of life? What do you want from your wealth? What keeps you up at night...and what can we do to help you sleep? 

What is the mission you want to accomplish with your wealth?



Together we will find out what's working in your current financial plan and what can be improved upon. Investment allocation, the tax status of the accounts you own, are you eligible to fund certain accounts, why or why not? What are the work arounds? What does your accountant have to say about all this? Why is your ex-spouse still the beneficiary on your 401k? Oops. We're trained to find the risks hidden in your resources. 

Our team will develop recommendations and customize your financial plan using Raymond James proprietary software. From investment recommendations to insurance solutions, tax guidance (not tax advice, we are not CPAs) to estate planning ideas (not legal advice, we are not JDs) we can collaborate with your other trusted professionals to develop your financial plan.

This is common feedback at our Delivery Meeting. Whether prospective clients choose to work with us or not, they leave this meeting with a better understanding of their situation, their current investments & allocation, the fees they are paying and the value they will get working with our team. The concepts we discuss are not simple, but they can be made easy.


Relax and allow our team to Operate the plan.

Our staff is prepared to process the transfer of your accounts; after discussing all of your distribution options and determining the best solution for your situation, we host the rollover call of your former retirement plan; we make sure your account ownership and beneficiary changes are completed; we get you set up with your investment contribution or income distribution plan. Finally, we offer a recap of the improvements we've made so that we begin this journey on the same page and hiking in the same direction.



This step is a continued partnership. As advisors, it is our job to communicate changes to the markets, geopolitical changes, and necessary adjustments to your investments to make appropriate changes to your financial plan.

We want you to feel comfortable communicating with us as well. Please inform us of job changes, new additions to the family, changes to your financial goals or to simply be a sounding board for your financial decisions.
